Etisalat, a UAE telecommunications company, has been named the world's fastest mobile network.
Etisalat has also overtaken telecom companies in South Korea, China and the Netherlands. Etisalat's internet speed was 98.7.
It beat other networks in all tests. South Korea's SK Telecom, Qatar's Orido and China's China Mobile are also on the list of fastest networks.
Etisalat customers in the UAE can now access high-speed 5G fixed networks from their homes.
Etisalat is the only telecom company in the region to be the first to introduce 3G, 4G and 5G technologies. The company was also named the fastest mobile network and the fastest broadband network in 2019.
Etisalat has also launched 5G home internet service in the UAE. With high-speed 5G fixed networks, users could also play cloud-based gaming with the best bandwidth.
Etisalat, owned by Emirates Telecommunications Group PJSC, is an international company operating in 15 countries in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
